Single Page Website

Can you build a website with a bare minimum of tools? People used to do this, long, long ago, when they lived in caves and used tables for layout. Surprisingly, these archaic techniques are still available.

The following is an example of a single web page where the page content is saved in text files.

However, Instead of tables, this page relies on the css 'display: inline-block' element to provide responsive columns. In a stone-age website, the content would probably have been embedded into the html. But for this example, there is a text file for the contents of each column. A php include statement adds the content to the page.
